It’s still difficult to comprehend the destruction wrought by L.A.’s Palisades and Eaton Fires. I have little profound to add to the discourse other than my own condolences to all those who lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods.
Among the ashes are of course many historic homes. The L.A. Times has done a great job tracking historic homes that were lost (and near misses too).
One fascinating and uniquely hopeful sight has been a number classic cars that somehow survived the inferno. From VW Buses to a Nash Rambler, some really unique vehicles appear unscathed.
